CHARACTER

NAME: Cinna

AGE: Erm, erm, erm, about 27 ish? Late 20s.

FANDOM/MEDIUM: Books.

CANON PULL-POINT: Right after the last you see of him in Catching Fire, he gets set upon by the guards with spiked gloves, starts to be dragged away then ba-da-bing he’s somewhere else.

ABILITIES: Nothing magical or other worldly. He’s cunning though, he knows how to subtly send the right messages, namely of rebellion through his work. He is an amazing designer, and can create clothing master pieces.

CHARACTER BACKGROUND: This is the wiki page for The Hunger Games, although I prefer the fan wiki. Prior to the novels it is hinted that Cinna had been working for district 13 with the rebellion, beyond this he’s a bit of an enigma. His accent isn’t that of the Capitol but doesn’t place him anywhere else either. He is a stylist by profession, but only recently reaching the level to work in the Hunger Games.

CHARACTER PERSONALITY:
Cinna is a very together person. He keeps his emotions under check and is outwardly grounded. Underneath however, he is not at all indifferent. He channels his passions into his work and into helping the rebellion. Despite the fact that the main purpose of his job as a stylist to the tributes is to remain close to Snow, he really loves what he does.
He is intelligent and can use this to manipulate. Cinna is both kind and caring, as he becomes both a friend and confident to Katniss, even though he is supposed to be one of the Capitol. He is also very brave; he knows that the final outfit he designs is too obviously an act of mark rebellion for him to be allowed to live but he still goes ahead with it.

WORLD:
Panem is all that remains after the destruction of civilisation and is where North America was located. It consists of The Capitol and the surrounding districts which are ruled over by the dictator, President Snow. Cinna is working for the rebellion, trying to over throw the Capitol and president Snow. Every year, the Capitol hold The Hunger Games; a tournament where two children from each of the twelve districts have to fight to the death to entertain the Capitol. Officially, Cinna’s job as a designer is to create the pre and post games wardrobe for his tribute. His canon point is at the beginning of the second games he has worked on. It’s the third Quarter Quell, 75 years since the first attempt at an uprising.

THIRD PERSON:

Cinna’s pen taps out a pattern on his sketch pad. Katniss’ dress... he knows roughly how he wants it to look, the message it has to send out. But the execution is crucial. If the symbol is clear from the start then there’ll be time for the Capitol to avoid the broadcast, time for them to plan a technical hitch. No, the Mockingjay must fly. There must be a way to hide what her dress is until the perfect moment.
He wished he could warn her. Tell her what she’s getting herself into. She knows by now what Snow is capable of, but what about Coin? He can’t even tell her about the dress she’ll be wearing. Her reactions are too obvious; it would be clear if she knew in advance. No, she’s enough trouble as it is, better he take the blame for this one by himself. Even if it means he doesn’t get to watch her fly.

FIRST PERSON:

[*Cinna’s face appears on screen, rather paler than it should be and scrunched up in pain. He coughs twice, clutching his middle where moments ago he was being beaten with spiked gloves.*]
